Smith River 7 on 7

Went to Smith River Sports Complex in Martinsville yesterday to watch 7 on 7. There were 8 teams there. I saw several really good receivers, along with QBs. By same token I saw a couple teams that will have trouble with their passing game come September.

How did Gretna do? I heard they did very well in one 7-7 a couple of weeks back

Saw MV one time. They have all new receiver's, RB and QB. Qb has a good arm, but i think it will take a few games to get the chemistry they need.

Gretna has been killing it. Went 5-0 a couple of weeks back at Smith River, lost to Amherst on the last play of the game on Thursday in the semi finals at Ferrum, and was 3rd out of 12 teams at Averett yesterday. I'd say they're doing darn well. I haven't seen any star players, just kids that play well as a unit. Very young and small, but very methodical and pay attention to detail. Don't know if it transfers to Friday nights, but definitely a good sign.
