There was some chippy play that included a player from one team getting ejected for hitting a defenseless receiver but there was no fight. The game was called because in the schools' 115 year rivalry, there has never been an overtime. In fact, there have only been 9 ties with the last one occurring in the early 80's. It is my understanding that the schools are looking into playing overtime in the future. It is a shame that the game ended that way because, unlike the D1 championship, it was actually competitive.
