VHSL Confirms That Lord Botetourt Will Be Awarded A Forfeit Win From Appomattox County

The Lord Botetourt-Appomattox County football game that was cancelled on Friday, Sept. 15 due to a phone "threat" to teachers and students that caused the school to be evacuated, has been declared a forfeit win for the Cavaliers and a forfeit loss for the Raiders.
Appomattox Athletic Director Tim Peterson and Lord Botetourt AD Tim Fulton mutually agreed that the contest would be recorded as a 2-0 win for Lord Botetourt and a loss for Appomattox County.
Director of Communications Matt McCall confirmed that the Virginia High School League has been notified of the forfeiture.

I commend Peterson. He didn't have to take the forfeit. By agreeing it kept LB from having to forfeit as well. By rule if two teams have not made up a game by regional play. Both teams forfeit.
