Wave Basketball Club 17U finishes 14th in AAU nationals

Wave Basketball Club 17U went 8-2 at the AAU 17U Nationals and placed 14th out of 180 and advanced further than any other team in VA and was the only VA team to place in the top 16. Wave was led in scoring by Demetrius Pollard(6-2/Cape Henry Collegiate/2011)who avg. 20 ppg, Quinton Upshur (6-4/Booker T/2011) avg 11 ppg, and Darren Creary (6-5/Tallwood/2011) avg 9 ppg/ 8 rebounds. Wave also received strong PG play from Earl Norfleet (5-9/Booker T/2011) and Dontrell Silver (5-10/Norfolk Christian/2011). Other Wave players who made key contributions were Conner Laframboise (6-6/Cape Henry Collegiate/2011), George Radford (6-2/Cape Henry Collegiate) and Chris Campbell (6-5/Cape Henry Collegiate/2011).
