With Appo now being 1-4 since the LB game was declared a forfeit I don’t see them having any shot of making it in the top 4. They’ll still secure a playoff spot but likely a 5th or 6th seed

How good is Patrick? I'm familiar with Radford, Glenvar, and the Dogwood teams (and Liberty), but don't know anything about them. Weak schedule or are they a legit contender in the region?

Patrick has some big strong kids in both lines and are coached very well. They don't have overall team speed. Radford and Glenvar will be tough matchups for them in district play. They play hard.

Appo will probably end up fourth or could get third. I have them winning rest of schedule. With Chatham and Nelson having to play them and probably losing few more besides that one will move them above them. Patrick has to play Glenvar and Radford. Most of teams just ahead of Appo have played very weak opponents and haven't really gained a lot more points than Appos losses. I have ran predictions and numbers. Have Appo solidly in fourth with them possibly taking third from Gretna. You will see major moves from third down rest of season.

Here is my prediction for season end just for fun.
1. Radford (10-0) 28.800
2. Glenvar (9-1) 24.400
3. Gretna (8-2) 24.000
4. Appomattox (6-4) 23.000
5. Dan River (6-4) 20.500
6. Patrick (6-4) 20.400
7. Chatham (6-4) 18.700
8. James River (5-5) 16.100
9. Nelson (4-6) 14.800
Floyd, Liberty, and Martinsville out

As long as Appomattox gets in the playoffs and I believe they will, The Raiders don't mind playing on the road. Coach Doug Smith's squad bring half the county when they play an away game. Appomattox has won 16 playoff games away from the friendly confines of Bragg Stadium. The Raiders have won in the playoffs at Lynchburg City Stadium, Nelson County, Clarke County, Marion High School, twice at Bullitt Park in Big Stone Gap vs. Union Bears, Radford High School, 4 road games with Glenvar High and 5 VHSL Class 2 Championships against 4 different opponents at Salem Stadium.
