Benedictine 35 Liberty Christian 19 Final

Re: BCP 14, LCA 12 (halftime)

Bulldogs almost got a safety on the last play of the half. This one's definitely living up to expectations.

Cadets win in a crazy match-up against the Bulldogs of LCA

Seems like for the past couple years the fate of the Cadets postseason plans lay in the Bulldogs' hands. This year, the Bulldogs are on the cusp of a postseason birth. All the Bulldogs have to do is defeat the Cadets at Bobby Ross Stadium. Looming in the background of the new, bright LED scoreboard, the day was dreary. If there is a way to score a touchdown, the Cadets did it by the way of a pick-six, fumble recovery ...for a touchdown, kickoff return for a touchdown, and two Ramon Jones' rushing touchdowns. The first touchdown came the way of Ramon Jones with a 4-yd scamper across the goal line after a great push from the offensive line! The fumble recovery came when Ellis Brooks dislodged the ball and scooped up by Parrish Gordon for a 86-yd touchdown. The score at the end of the half would by 14-12 in the favor of the Cadets. To start the second half, speedy Junior Donovan Tennyson ran the ball off the kickoff for a 96-yd touchdown. Then, with 6:19 left in the 3rd quarter, Ramon Jones got the call again after bursting through a huge hole made by the line for a 21-yd touchdown run. For the final score of the game, T.J. Dunn intercepted a falling running back's pass that was trying to avoid a sack. T.J. would take the ball 32-yds to the endzone for a pick-six! The Cadets would win the contest 35-19. This win clinched home field advantage and the #1 seed for the Cadets going into the playoffs! Go Cadets!
