That tournament used to be pretty damn elite. Seems like the past 5 years it’s been watered down or set up where no Charlottesville teams play each other. Think they also changed the format a little bit not long ago too. Not the same tournament as it was though

They've reset it so that the opening round all the local teams play non-local teams, and from there it's just a tournament. Charlottesville and Monticello as well as Albemarle and Western played each other in the tournament last year.

It’s a garbage tournament now regardless

Yeah have to agree if your tournament doesn't have an undefeated team, previous state or region champion, even a conference champion playing in it, well it can't be that good. Unless you have one or two highly recruited-talented kids playing against each other.
