Tremaine Edmunds scored 16 points and grabbed 11 rebounds as Dan River defeated Chatham 56-37 on Tuesday evening in Ringgold. The Wildcats jumped out to an early first half lead and built it up to a 41-24 advantage at halftime. Curtis "Q" Stephens finished with 12 points while Rodney Womble Jr. added in eight points. Nyshun Redd had 12 points and Anthony Taylor chipped in nine points for the Cavaliers.



The Wildcats (13-3) will host Altavista on Friday, January 30, while Chatham will be at home against Nelson County.

Should be another great matchup between the defending 1A and 2A state champions!

Just a fun idea. You could take half of Dan River and AltaVista teams and make one heck of a prep team! I would take that combination against any school in the state! We may see a bit of that if they do the Dogwood/Seminole Challenge again in late March!
