Fuqua School remained undefeated with a 14-6 win over Hampton Roads Academy on a wet day in Newport News. Both defense came ready to play and the game was scoreless until midway thru the 3rd quarter. Both of Fuqua's touchdown came after a couple of mistakes from the Navigators.

William French intercepted a pass at the Falcons 39-yard line and quarterback Devin Allen help convert the turnover into points by completing a 13-play drive with a 5-yard touchdown run with 4:46 to go in the 3rd quarter. A bad snap on 4th down gave Fuqua great field position as they took possession at the Hampton Roads Academy 20-yard line. Tyler Frink added to the lead with a 9-yard touchdown with 4:57 to go in the game to give the Falcons a 14-0 lead.

Hampton Roads Academy cut into the lead after quarterback Chris Leavey found DeVone Humphrey in the corner of the endzone for a 7-yard touchdown reception. The extra point was no good and Fuqua was able to run out the clock.

Fuqua blew a couple of scoring opportunities in the 1st half. They missed two field goals from 28 and 32 yards and had a touchdown called back due to a penalty. Hampton Roads academy wasn't faring any better with punter Scott Ferguson supplying most of the 1st half highlights with two wind-aided punts that traveled 67 yards and 45 yards.

Player of the Game - Tyler Frink.
