Michaela Thompson of the Floyd County High School Lady Buffaloes scored 15 points, including a three-pointer, Saturday afternoon to help beat Alleghany 56-33 in a makeup game delayed from Thursday because of weather.
Abi Belshan added 14 — including a three-pointer — and Alexis Kiser totalled 12 (and a three-point shot) in a convincing win at home.
The win gives the Lady Buffs a 5-1 district record and 9-5 overall.
JV Lady Buffs won too on Saturday.
Floyd’s girls and boys JV and Varsity teams hit the road Tuesday for a match against Carroll County followed by matches in Radford Thursday (boys) and Friday at home against Radford (girls).
