It’s a Thursday night game so the crowd size will be unpredictable. It was hoped the Friday night game between Warhill at 0-9 Jamestown would switch but no such accommodation happened. Let me say now, these stadiums shared by multiple schools are a real pain in scheduling. It certainly should be a good game, but I tend to favor Lafayette. But only by a point or so.
I hope the fans will turn out. A game of two 9-0 teams deserves good crowd support.
LOL, and not so coincidentally it’s two of the worst teams in the area. Ya think that the lack of identity may play a part in the lack of enthusiasm which leads to lack of participation?I was at Bogle field for the Sandlot Superbowl. (Was unfortunately moved there because of the political rally) Anyway, everytime I go to that field it feels like an abomination to have 2 schools logos on either 40. (CS and HV)
I Agree. On the field at Wanner Stadium there is no Lafayette Rams logo anywhere. No midfield, end zone or wrap around goal posts insignia. It’s home but not home at times. And physically it’s pretty much next door to Warhill HS. When I win the lottery I am paying for Lafayette to have their own stadium. that’s if the county doesn’t cry foul!!I know how you feel about shared fields. I hate them too.
Playing there is a lot closer to being at an away game that being at a home game.
When your field and field house are at your own school like ours is, it’s home. You have your own locker, you have all your personal stuff in it. You have the same chair in the training room. You know where everything is. In our case there is always snacks available as well as liquid refreshments. The kids can come and go as they please, within the coaches guidelines of course.
It’s truly their home away from home, and they don’t share it with anyone.
The county would make you pay for every school to have their own AND maintenance/upkeep for 20 years...LOLI Agree. On the field at Wanner Stadium there is no Lafayette Rams logo anywhere. That is unacceptable. The Lafayette Rams are the single most important high school football team in America and it is not even close for the 2nd most important team to be considered. Ha!!! Pretty funny. There is still old Cooley Field now used for JV only but used to be the football varsity field when Lafayette was the only HS here. Needs visitor stands to be added though snd is grass, but in nice condition. Would useful to at least eliminate the Thursday games when Wanner is “double” booked. That is unacceptable.
