This time last year Mac was playing in a region D game against Lebanon.

G'town has 2 very nice freshman guards and solid big man. Where they are lacking is coaching... not a Ewing fan at all.
Second season on the job with a winning record and u don't like him,I wonder why.
GT has gotten soo much better as the season has moved into 2019. Mac and Akinjo are meshing, and inside Govan is a force with great touch and they have put together more solid games.
They dominated Villanova, jumping out to a double digit lead (mostly behind McClungs hot start from downtown) and never looked back.

I agree with southerntester. I'm not impressed by Ewing's Coaching. I'm a gigantic fan of Ewing as a person and former player. He's one of the NBA all time good guys, was one of the best centers to play the game, and he's always done it the right way, but...as for a coach, I'm not sold. GT has benefited from one of the weakest out of conference schedules in all of Div 1 hoops the last two years and this has helped that winning percentage.
Ewing has a history of having a vicious work ethic. Former GT coach John Thompson commented on this for decades and so did his former NBA coaches. Because of this, he may turn out to be very successful as a coach, but he does have a ways to go. I'm rooting for him.
Its just his 2nd season so I'm willing to wait for more sample data before I make any concrete opinions of him as a coach. I think hes certainly upgraded the talent overall and thats a big start and hopefully some Elite players will take notice to what pieces they have and want to join the fold.
The biggest concern ive had with Pat this season is the his starting lineup flip-flop from game to game and also who he chooses to have on the court at the same time when the game is on the line. Some of the end-game personnel decisions he makes, especially below the 10 minute mark, are certainly questionable at best sometimes. But that's why they pay him the big $$$.....let him do the thinking and see where he can lead them. If the kids believe in him and buy into his plans then they will make big strides in a short span.

Not sure what you mean by that, kinda assuming something just can't figure out what. I grew up a Virginia & Ralph Sampson fan so I have to dislike Ewing, it's just a rule. Always hated Georgetown, at least until now. Really like watching Mac. Shame on Virginia for choosing Clarke and passing on Mac. I get that they are different players but UVA would surely benefit from another great ball player.
For how good the Hoyas looked at home v. Villanova, they look that bad today on the road against Creighton. Blue Jays are dominating them.
