Forecast calling for bone chilling cold again next weekend.
Graham won the first meeting 7-6 at Big Stone Gap. Graham's defense has improved quite a bit since that early season meeting. The defense has been playing great all season long. I don't know if or how much Union has improved, but this is a different Graham team from early in the season. They have limited penalties and mistakes the past 3 weeks as well and are playing their best football right now. Should be a good one.

Hopefully, GMen bring it!!! It definitely should be a good one between two solid programs! Graham has really tightened down the past three weeks & seemed laser focused but it’s Union at Mitchell. I don’t know why but I feel like Union always plays Graham better in Bluefield. Graham’s defense has been solid but man, they are just on another level. The offense seemed discombobulated at first has really improved leaps & bounds. Roberts has improved finding open receivers, even running when he can’t find anyone & on designed QB keepers. Lilly in the power run , kid is tough, plays hard! Graham’s ability to switch them out really keeps defenses on their toes. I can’t wait for next Saturday!

Yeah, I meant to say "offense" has improved quite a bit. Graham is peaking at the right time. Hoping it stays that way. Union has more wins at Mitchell against Graham then they do at Bullitt Park. This has been a great series. I think Graham leads 8-6 overall now and Tony is 8-5 against Union.

GMen gonna git down! Ain't layin down! Coach had meeting in awgust and they voted for whoze gonna git down or lay down. Rest of em votes to Git Down and when u play Gmen u gonna git down or lay down! Same meet up is win GMen went ahead an put in vote for ringz. Barz did same dern thing 2 weeks after! Barz didn't have 1 downvote on ringz so sumthins strate up Dedazzz and got2give. I cant stand tha sospince

Interested to see how this game plays out. Which team has progressed more since September? I believe Graham has improved tremendously on the offensive side of the ball. Defense has played lights out all year long. Graham has made progress with the mental mistakes the past 3 weeks. Can't wait, it's always a battle when these 2 teams get together.

Graham is playing unselfishly right now, making unselfish plays for their teammates.

This is something I’ve noticed too the past couple weeks. They’re playing more as a team and not worried who’s getting the score. Lots of great blocking & doing their assigned jobs even when it doesn’t mean getting the spotlight. After that fiasco of a game with Tazewell, Graham seemed to turn a page. I hope they keep it up this Saturday, I’d love to see them bring home the win. Union is always a hard win though. They come to play and play hard. They won’t just lie down. It will be a battle in the trenches!

Gmen wendt 4 a run up east river mawntin bucky nakid this morning to git ready for tha Barz and cold weather comin to big blue. Gmen gonna B cold ready and Barz doin sum cold weather trainin 2 so sumthins got 2 give DedaZzz

I think a lot of that nonsense in the Tazewell game can be attributed to the longstanding rivalry. Both teams were heated up and let emotions take over. Graham usually keeps a level head against Union come playoff time. In this series, the majority of Grahams wins have come in the playoffs. The majority of Unions wins have been in the regular season, the past few years

If Graham is playing more team oriented and disciplined and has fixed the penalty issues, then it's trouble for everyone else. An opponent will need to play nearly perfect to beat them which is possible, but hard to do, if Graham has resolved its penalty issues.

I think if Graham faces a team with a strong running defense they will struggle obviously. Still pulling for them tho.

Yes. Graham has multiple receivers that can make plays in open space. But, they haven't utilized that aspect of their offense much, but they seem to be getting better at that.
