Both teams have left the field. We are 20 minutes from kick-off.
The Springers are 14-0 coming into this game with their closest games bookending their seasons. A 26-20 win versus JC Chambers and a 19-14 win over Stone Bridge last week. Few weaknesses on this Springers team as their defense has only given up 71 points all season.
Maury has one blemish on their record and that came in the season opener when the Commodores fell by seven to a New Bern (NC) team that won their own state title last night.

Springers have had little success on offense in this first quarter. Maury after Springer punt is setup near midfield yet again.

Springer offense sputtering. Passing game is seeing a lot of misses... run game has been grounded.
Khristian Martin with the QB keeper takes it out to the 43 for a gain of 19 yards. Much needed for this offense.
A little pitch to Aziz Foster-Powell sends Springers across mid-field but a holding penalty brings them back.
Pass broken up near the end zone but pass interference call against Maury will put the Springers at the Maury 13.
Overthrown pass for Miller & the Commodores. 4th & 12, Maury will give it back to the Springers. Springers setup shop at Maury with a little under 2 minutes left in the half.
Maury side of the stadium has gotten mighty quiet since the Springers have scored back-to-back TD's. Melvin Lowe gives them something to cheer about with a carry up the middle to their own 49.
