CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA — The Virginia High School League announces its 2021 Class 6 All-State Field Hockey Team.
In addition, Yorktown junior midfielder Emily Stafford is the Class 6 Player of the Year, and Yorktown Head Coach Olivia Shipley is the Class 6 Coach of the Year. Stafford and Shipley led Yorktown to its first-ever state title with a 1-0 win over Western Branch in the finals.
VHSL All-State Field Hockey teams comprise 16 Individuals: (4 forwards, 4 midfielders, 4 defenders, 3 at-large, and 1 goalkeeper) for First-Team and Second-Team selection. Only First-Team All-Region players are eligible for the All-State team.
