It's all good. I apologized for internet yelling... I really didn't mean to do that. I'm OK, just as I hope everyone else is. It's a great Sunday evening.. the Cowboys and Patriots won.. All is great. Looking forward to week 5 of high school football!! Have an awesome week everyone!!

NKU Quiet one it is pointless to try and bicker with MGF and his little croney, the grammar police, WP02alum. These two will go back and forth trying to prove that they are the only ones with factual comments. The largest fact is that MGF had his feelings hurt because of who WP chose as a head coach. The best rule to go by with these two is " Never argue with idiots. You will lower yourself to their level and they will beat you with experience ".

Keep proving who you are every post. MGF & I have never met.

My feelings aren't hurt; I feel sorry for the players. The only thing I'm upset with is that I did not transfer my son to CCS after his freshman year on WP varsity. He would have had a state championship ring his sophomore year with CCS and it looks like CCS is on track to go to the state championship again this year. As for WP's HC decision: They made their bed, now they must sleep in it. I'd love to see you post something factual other than opine and take up for a coach that is so over his head that he has to bring back the old coach just to try to win a game.

I seriously doubt you want to hear my facts. Some may trigger emotions. As far as my opinion, i thought that you were all about people being able to speak up? You have been dropping your opinion everywhere just like the one here with why an ex coach may want to sit in the box and help out.. Perhaps he still loves the game and the team. Maybe he wants to help but not be committed to every practice and game. I wish you would have transferred also. Maybe after 3 years you would have forgotten about WP and moved on to irritate the staff at CCS.

I say bring the facts. From what i can tell about MGF, he doesn't seem to be scared of facts. Heck, I might agree with you if your facts are convincing!

MGF transferred his kid but still comes to every single Varsity and JV WP football game. That guy is a weirdo

Not that I have a dog in the fight but I will just say that maybe MGF has a connection to other players on that team and cares about the program. Completely different situation but my stepson played for Wilson Memorial for a few years up through JV and I supported him and the team the whole time generally disagreeing with the coaching staffs decisions and approach. He decided not to play varsity based on a few things the most prominent being his view of how things were handled there in regards to PT and such. I still take in a game or two to see how those friends of his that I came to care about are doing and support them. As for him, he decided long ago that he would not transfer to Riverheads but goes to quite a few games with me and continues to compete in other sports at Wilson. I can see how MGF can still care about the program and the kids in it while adamantly refusing to accept less than the best for those athletes still in the program. I know I am in the minority in my view but bashing him for caring about a program is as bad as bashing a coaching staff that isn't performing. Little bit of fault on both sides wouldn't you say?

No, I wouldn't say that. There is a difference between supporting a program and being a distraction and toxic. MGF is both. He fills the kids and parents heads with nonsense that makes it difficult to get buy-in from everyone at a small school. If he cared, he would stop causing problems. I sit down in front of him at the JV game the night and when the game was in hand, WP ran a play and he screamed "run the spread offense" .... everyone heard him. He is a selfish, attention whore who can't coach but loves coaching from the stands because its easier.

Without me knowing anymore than what had been posted on here, my statement rings true. If that example is the actions that are taken routinely then I would agree that maybe support is not the motive for attending games.

I’m not really arguing that he’s not a difficult personality or even selfish in his motivation to post. I’ve heard a lot of people say that, so it seems likely that could be the case. But to call him a weirdo for supporting kids he previously coached seems a bit much. If he’s “coaching” from the stands like that, I would agree it’s obnoxious.

Tell that to porter and his 56 carries against Northumberland last year lol
Truth in advertising: Porter only had 53 carries for 280 yards against NHS in Round 2. My calculator says 5.3 yards per carry when they knew who was getting the ball. WP had 64 offensive plays for the night.

My response its to WPalum89 who's post disappeared for some reason: So based on your own analogy, BIGBLAQ324 is also a weirdo? Because he left the WP team last season to coach a team in NC and he still comes back Fridays to help coach JV practices and to coach the varsity. And he hasn't had a kid in the school since around 2010?. And I guess anyone who goes to a Friday night football game that has no kids in the school are weirdos too? Sometimes it is better not to post and let people wonder, than to post and remove all doubt. As others have stated, I coached most of the seniors starting when they were 7 years old and I also have friends kids who play on the team.

You and your buddies situational ethics are entertaining. Y'all can opine, but I cannot. Others no longer connected with the team can attend games, but I cannot. It is so much enjoyable to the reader if you have a point.

Thanks, I couldn't have said it any better. Maybe some of the "joined today" crowd will take the time to read your post. And for those "joined today" folks--I don't know RedPrideNation and I've never met him.

For 15 years straight I listened to local games on the radio. Over the past 3 years I’ve been to most games just for the love of the sport. I go to the youth league games almost every Saturday morn and haven’t missed the jamboree for the last 7 years. Hahahaha is it really weird to enjoys sports? If so looks like we are all just a bunch of weirdos then aren’t we?

Cool story, but you just lost any credibility you had. That is why facts are so important.

FACT: #7s Dad screamed "run the spread". He wasn't even sitting next to me, so, it is interesting that you automatically accuse me. Why not address it with me Wednesday in the stands? You were so close. You could have saved yourself the embarrassment of looking like a fool on this thread. Ironically, the people I was sitting with predicted that someone would falsely accuse me of shouting that.

FACT: I've spoken with two WP football players since the season started. One came to my house Friday to borrow some sticky rejuvenation gel for his receiver gloves and the other I asked about his injury after the RHS game. Nothing negative was mentioned. You presume the players are stupid and someone has to tell them what to think.

FACT: Only 1 person in the entire town came to the 2018 school board meeting to support the current HC when he tried to make a back door move to block the OC's nomination for HC. No players, no parents, no neighbors, not even his own family showed up to support him (well, except his sister who was on the school board and was the only vote against the OC's nomination). This is public record. Moral of the story: Don't presume that parents going to the game to cheer for their kids = parents support the HC. Parents talk amongst themselves; they don't need my help, although it is flattering that you give me all the credit.

FACT: #7's dad has the right to scream "run the spread". He sat there all night watching the only offense the JV coach knows not work. He offered a valid recommendation from the stands at a volume so the HC could hear his recommendation. I don't say anything wrong with that.

Exactly. These "joined today" posters are Brown Shirts--they try to control what team you can like, what games you can go to, what you are or are not allowed to say at the games and what you can and cannot post on a public thread (that they just joined). It would be funny if it were not so un-American.

MGF and his family are friends of our family. I coached his son in Track & Field. My son is a Stud lineman on the JV squad. I invite his family to my son's games. I also invite his family to my daughters Volleyball games. He invites our family to his son's football games and just as soon as he is healthy we will attend. We are not weirdos. They are not weirdos. We were sitting next to him and his wife videoing the game. He did not yell out "run the spread". That was another players parent. I did advise him that he would be blamed for doing so......Here is video of my 14yo boy #73 doing his thing. Enjoy and lighten up a little folks.

I also want to point out that at my Alma Mater, you would be drum rolled out for a gross violation of the Honor Code, I.e., lying (making false statements). That is also a fact, not opinion.

His statements have already been debunked. He’s either grossly misinformed or a liar. I go to the varsity games to show my support for the kids I’ve coached who still play. I go to the JV football games to watch the kids of friends I know. It’s really as simple as that. I don’t need to discuss what the coaches are or are not doing; the results speak for themselves, much to the chagrin of the hard working players. Let’s hope for the kids’ sake, they harvest the low hanging fruit tonight with Bruton.

That's great that you support the team. It's great that you go to the games and help report scores. Isn't it kind of odd though that your name appears on MaxPreps as a high school coach?

Actually, what’s odd is that you have no clue as to who’s responsible for updating coaches on MaxPreps. Do you ever get tired of being called out for being wrong?

Can you please explain this low hanging fruit statement MGF. Is this a shot at the Bruton program and

So what I am asking is he or some others putting down Brutons program? Don't lie, don't beat around the bush

No one is insulting them. No one is putting them down. No one is trying to impugn their character. No one is questioning their effort. They just aren't very good this year. It happens. It's not an insult to recognize that fact.

I sure hope these WP posters didn’t graduate from WP. The lack of intellect is shocking considering WP is one of the highest-rated public schools in VA.

Sounds like you think everyone deserves a trophy. Not a fan of that snowflake mentality...

If a team is good, they’re good. If a team is bad, like Bruton, they’re bad. No one is speaking in code here.

So let me explain something I'm no WP poster nor graduate, nor do I like your attitude, cause you sir are definitely one that hides behind the keyboard, so I would truly advise you to tread lightly.
