Cox advanced to the 6A State championship after taking care of Patriot High School by a count of 4-1 in the 6A State semi-finals at Robinson Secondary School. George Mason commit Austin Carbone struckout 13 batters while not allowing any earned runs in a complete game two-hitter.
Carbone ended the game by striking out the side. The Poineers only run came in the 2nd inning after an error at second base.
