Kellam never trailed leading from start to finish in their 65-44 blowout win over Louisa. The contest was never in doubt as Kellam raced out to a 16-2 1st quarter lead. The Knights led by double digits for virtually the entire game and led 29-12 at halftime.

The 3rd quarter was more of the same with the Knights extending the lead to 45-22 after three quarters. The Louisa deficit reached 30 points (53-23) until a late Lions run ended the game at 65-44.

Sophomore Brandon Cline finished with 22 points and also led the team with eight rebounds while draining 4 of 9 from downtown to take home MVP honors. Fellow sophomore Josh Talbert added 15 points and seven rebounds while Knights big man Jalen Craig also had 15 points and seven boards. Point guard Christian Holcomb tallied five points and seven assists.

Louisa finished the 1st half with only two made field goals. Chris Steppe found his range to go 4 of 7 from behind the arc to finish with 12 points while chipping in seven rebounds. Malik Bell led the Lions with 13 points while kicking in six boards.

Kellam has now won five of its last six games to move to 12-6 overall. The Knights finished with a 43-28 advantage in the rebounding department and made 48% (24-of-50) of their field goal attempts.

The Lions came in having won three in a row, including a 67-48 triumph over Charlottesville the night before where sophomore guard Malachi Poindexter had scored 25 points. With the loss, Louisa is now 10-8 overall.
