This game started off messy and with little to no flow for either team. On the first play from scrimmage, Chantilly's running back stumbled and that caused a bad handoff from the QB, resulting in a fumble that Westfield recovered on the 17 yard line. Westfield's Gray scored on a 5 yard run a couple of plays later and WF was up 7-0 just 53 seconds into the game. On Chantilly's next possession, they immediately hit a 79 yard pass play from Sydnor to Comerford to tie the game at 7-7 less than 2 minutes into the game. Westfield threw an INT on their next possession, picked off by Chantilly's Snedeker on a nice diving catch at the Chantilly 23 yard line, but Chantilly could not move the ball and punted. Westfield promptly fumbled the ball on their next play from scrimmage and Chantilly took over again at the Chantilly 45 yard line. Chantilly was stopped on the WF 25 and WF took over again, driving down field and capping the drive with a 6 yard Bethea run to go up 14-7 with about 7 minutes left in the half. Chantilly fielded the kickoff and got back to their own 18, upon which Kearns ripped off an 82 yard td run that was called back for illegal motion. At that point, neither team did much for the remainder of the half and WF went into the locker room leading 14-7.

WF got the ball to start the 2nd half and their drive netted a 37 yard Bouveron FG to go up 17-7. The second half was a little better offensively for both teams, but penalties on both sides kept both teams from getting into a good offensive rhythm. After two punts by each team, Chantilly started a series at their own 32 yard line and drove to the WF 44 yard line where they faced a 4th and 3 that was stopped after a 1 yard gain. WF took over on their own 43 yard line and managed to put together their best (re: clean and efficient) drive of the night to score on a 1 yard Scoville keeper to extend the lead to 24-7 with 7:19 remaining in the game. After a poor Chantilly punt, WF took over on the Chantilly 43 yard line and advanced to the Chantilly 11 yard line before settling for another Bouveron FG of 27 yards with just over 4 minutes to play. The score was now 27-7. Westfield's Carron intercepted Chantilly on the next drive but WF punted; Chantilly was unable to score on their final drive and the game ended 27-7.
