Glen Lea is 90% Varina and Highland Springs. You’ll have a very small percentage of kids going to Trinity, Benedictine, or other county schools. A good majority of the 90% goes to Springs but the V gets a good chunk too.

I just don’t like how people seem to want to make it bigger than players following their coach…literally all it is. DO has one of the most successful youth organizations in the state so no clue why it would be a surprise his players want to play for him at the Hs level no matter what it takes.


Btw Bo whatever Hs in Richmond that gets the talent from the Glen Lea youth teams is going to be a force in the state within next 3-4 years. I’m sure the majority of them will stay together at next level…and i see zero problem with it.

I feel confident that Graham, Union, Glenvar, and whatever he identified Poquoson as, are all dialed in and focused and the only thing they are focused on is the very next game. Same for every other team.

It's hard to know the mindset of every team, but I'm guessing all of those at the top know and believe (surely the coaches do) that there are about 8 to 10 teams this year that can win a state title and the coaches and deep down, even the players know it's wide open.

Patrick Henry Glade Spring. A team with major injuries throughout the year and a shell of what they could have been. They are now healthy. Do not be surprised if the 8th seed in 1D beats Holston.
