So Tuscarora improves to 8-3 overall and will visit the top-seeded 10-1 Spartans of Broad Run in Ashburn in the regional semifinals.
Back in the second week of the regular season, following the lone loss of the year for Broad Run (which they won on the field over Potomac Falls but later had to forfeit due to the usage of an ineligible player), Tuscarora fell to the Spartans 23-7.
The all-time series between Tuscarora and Broad Run is tied at 4-apiece and last year the Huskies won the playoff encounter, 14-12. Tuscarora also won their playoff meeting in 2014 by a count of 35-14.
