I agree. EV is too banged up to pull this out. If they do then Huguenot isn’t that good.
Definitely don’t think they are “that good” but they can certainly win this game. Everyone has injuries now. Dinwiddie vs Monacan will both have a lot of JV kids out there on Friday night and have for much of the season. I picked EV but Huguenot can win this game if they play well.
I just can't see picking a team that hasn't won a playoff game in 20 years, against a team that's been winning in the post season regularly for the last few years. No matter the injuries that EV has, I don't see Huguenot having enough offense to win this IMO. The longer the game goes, the better EV will be.
Ehhh. I wouldn’t say they don’t have enough offense. Their lowest scoring output is 20 points and they’ve played some teams that I’m sure that this year’s EV would lose to. Last year’s EV was very good, this years team is a huge drop off.
I don't know. Last year EV have up an avg. of 9 pts per game versus Battlefield opponents. This year most everyone says the teams are better and they gave up an avg. of under 11 pts. per game. Not a huge drop off at all defensively if the teams they're playing are better.
This will be closer ball game than people think EV, has one of their best offensive weapons only playing defense due to a fractured thumb. EV wins this one in a close game because of their defense and playing at home.
Yessir. You are probably right. I haven’t seen EV play this year. They were extremely impressive when I saw them play Louisa.
Their defense is well coached, but they are not as good as last year with the graduation of their stud lb and d-ends... those guys were nasty.
LOL!!!!!! To their defense, Friday traffic on 95 from RVA to Fredericksburg is ATROCIOUS!

I don't think EV is gonna want to play Louisa... they are legit. If they have a rematch I hope it's a good game, but I don't think anyone in 4B can hang with Louisa. The EV Dinwiddie game should be a good one.
I don’t know. They just shut out a team that 40% of the people on here thought would beat them. Totally different offense from EV tonight . Watching from the fence, they lined up in an old-style power run formation and just shoved it down their throat. Huguenot got taken to the woodshed tonight. By far and away their worse loss of the year.
Wow, like the sound of that old school offense. Gotta give the coach credit for adjusting. Sounds like he's running out of skill players...smart move. Don't think that will work against what I saw tonight but I might have to show up and see that if they get past Dinwiddie. Just for the record I picked them to beat Huguenot, didn't think it would be 42-0! That's impressive.
Some of those 804 folks (not Huguenot) assume and say some rude things about our county schools, but we country boys aren't afraid to smack you in the mouth! That's why I absolutely love this playoff format, and hope it stays this way for a long time. Additionally, back in the 2000s when PH was legit good, they talked mad trash about Louisa. Well we'll see what happens next week!

@VAHSFootballFan I was referring to them separately, or in addition to, the city/suburban people.
3 offensive specialist guys underwent surgery last week and Spangler #2 was questionable up until kickoff. Don’t have the firepower to run spread like they want so pretty much put in a new offense in a week. They will ride with their O line as far as they will take them. But like last night they will still air it out.
